InformeDesign was created to bring design research and practice together. InformeDesign brings research from a vast array of reputable research sources to the design community to address the complex challenges of the built environment such as social, environmental, behavioral, and design in nature. InformeDesign provides research summaries (in plain, understandable language) and practical design criteria from research findings published in the most rigorous, peer reviewed journals. The site also provides access to the related publications, along with the most recent doctoral dissertations and intra-company industry reports. All are provided as a means by which to enable design practitioners to engage in evidence-based design (EBD).

ScienceDirect is a platform for access to nearly 2,500 academic journals and over 26,000 e-books. The journals are grouped into four main sections: Physical Sciences and Engineering, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences and Humanities.
